You might say I’m feeling a bit creative upon returning from the Mediterranean. This morning with fresh local blueberries and blackberries and roses from the garden, I pulled out the @vitamix and tried to create the most beautiful, tasty, healthy smoothie bowl I could imagine. One thing we took away from France is the way they eat – fresh, local, and slowly. Obesity is clearly not the issue it is in America. This #wellnesswednesday remember that what you eat is the most important decision you make for your health. Get this recipe below:
Summer Garden Smoothie Bowl, serves 2
½ cup strawberries, frozen
2 bananas
½ cup coconut milk
¼ tsp rose water
1 – 2 dates, pitted and soaked
Directions:
Begin with frozen fruits to create a thicker, smoother texture. If you’re working with fresh fruit, add in a few ice cubes to create the same consistency.
In a high speed blender combine the above ingredients and process for 30 – 45 seconds until smooth and frothy.
Top with: dried roses, chocolate nibs, blueberries, blackberries, chia seeds, honey, and crushed cashews.
